Thanks for Coming Out!

Thanks for coming out the other night! It was probably one of the most successful BlueBeat DC shows and we hope you all had a great time. With that said, we’ve just finished up booking bands for most of our summer shows! For June we have Silver Dollar from NJ, Free Lobster Buffet, and the Sessions Reggae Band. Also, we’ve booked a special July show with the Hub City Stompers (NJ) and the Bandulus (Austin, TX)! Check out the shows page for complete details.

Show this Thursday!

Hey all!

This Thursday we have another show at Solly’s. We had a slight line up change, but the show will still be a good one. The Chariots will now be playing with Murphy’s Kids and the Scotch Bonnets. Murphy’s Kids is a ska/rock band out of Richmond and the Scotch Bonnets are a female-fronted reggae act out of Baltimore. The Chariots are a fun reggae/ska outfit from DC. The King Cock Sound System will be spinning tunes before, during, and after the show.

Hope to see you there!

Thanks for Your Support, See You in May!

Thanks for coming out to our show a few weeks back. Hope you enjoyed Interstate Rivals, Unlikely Alibi, and the Transmitters! We hope to have them all back soon at some point.

If you’re looking for some more high quality reggae and ska, come out next month where we’re going to have the Scotch Bonnets, the DC Ska All-Stars, and Murphy’s Kids play. That show is on Thursday, May 20th and we hope to see you there.

Thanks for your continued support and see you soon!

New York Invades DC this Month

Thanks for coming out to our last show! We had a great time and hope you all did, too. Our show this month features two bands from New York – King Django Septet and the Forthrights. Dub City Renegades will be kicking off the show. It’s been awhile since Django played DC, so come check out his band. The Forthrights are a relatively new band to the scene and they do the ska/rocksteady thing… and quite well, too. Hope to see you all on the 18th!
