Super Summer Show Tomorrow!

Come down to Solly’s tomorrow because we have another fantastic BlueBeat show lined up for you! (Yes, just for you!)  Tomorrow’s show features reggae locals the RebelLions in their BlueBeat debut.  We also have, hailing from Rochester, NY, the ska/punk outfit The Steakouts!  Rounding out the show our local third-wave faves, Free Lobster Buffet.

We’re also doing a mini-fundraiser at the show!  I recently found a bunch of bins full of CDs from way back when Rude in DC / DCSka.com ran a distro.  I’ll bring the CDs and they’re free for the taking, but a donation would be greatly appreciated.  I’ll be donating any of the money received to the National Marrow Donor Program in honor of Dan Hess.

So tomorrow, come by dance to some awesome sounds from all around, get some old school CDs, and have a good time!  See ya tomorrow, 8:30pm, $7, 21+.

Hope you can make it and stay cool!

Michelle (and Duncan and Kevin)

Awesome Show Tomorrow!!

Hey everyone,

The weather is finally nice and it’s time for a great summer season of BlueBeat DC shows.  Tomorrow we have the BlueBeat DC debut of Caz’s solo project – the Cazuals.  This is definitely an outfit not to miss.  Hailing from PA, we have the Heavy Beat coming through, and lastly but not least(ly), we have the Chariots rounding out the show.  Come out tomorrow night, doors are at 8pm, $7 cover, and 21+.

Next month we have Sammy Kay of the Forthrights fame and the Snails from PA.

We’re looking to do all ages shows at some point, soon.  As always, we’re looking for bands all the time for both our regular BlueBeat shows and our potential all ages ones.  If you are in a ska/reggae band or know of one, let us know at bluebeatdc@gmail

Hope to see you tomorrow night!
